How will unreported washes affect the metrics I see in EWA?
The majority of the analytics and metrics displayed in EWA rely on accurate reporting of wash events. Specifically, metrics such as wash frequency (i.e., interval), deterioration since last wash, or inter-wash deterioration rates will be in error for an individual wash event on an ESN where the previous wash(es) was/were unreported. For this reason, high level metrics in the tool are often reported on a median basis (as opposed to average) to mitigate the impact of such outliers on statistical summaries. The performance recovery calculation for an individual wash can and will be calculated for every reported wash, however any statistical recovery calculations for a data set may not represent the actual behavior of the fleet as a whole, if a large quantity of washes have been unreported.
